Whether you are an International / Overseas Company or a Private Individual or Trust  you will NEED

 

A RICS 'Open Market Valuation' as defined by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Red Book Edition 5 in order to determine Tax Payable to HMRC in relation to your UK Holdings.

 

The VALUE of that Asset on the particular day of valuation will be the ONLY factor in the calculation of how much tax is PAYABLE by you or your company. 

 

If a 5-10% margin in value results in a significant payment to HMRC then you will NEED to be sure that the valuer hasnt OVERVALUED the property.

 

Has Lease Length, Maintenace, Condition, Floor Number, Position, Future Expenditure Etc had proper and detailed analasys ? These factors can contribute to over 15-20% in VALUE REDUCTION or Improvement of the Assetts Written Value.
